How Our Service Works
Having a small team of vets and nurses ensures that we have continuity of care with our patients and an understanding of what our clients need from us.
We aim to deal with the majority of your pets health care and treatment in your home.
We will visit you by appointment Monday to Saturday (Saturday mornings only) and we are available for emergency care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Our clinic is staffed between 8am and 6.30pm Monday to Friday, and 8.30am to 12 noon on Saturdays and these are the hours in which we offer routine appointments and visits. Because we offer a mainly mobile service please note that the vets are not always in the practice. Clients do sometimes visit us at the clinic but if you need to see a vet then please always ensure, especially in an emergency, that we are expecting you to make sure there is a vet here to see you. You are welcome to call in anytime to weigh your pets, collect medicines and order supplies.
When your pet needs more involved treatments such as operations, x-rays, ultrasound scanning or investigations under anaesthetic we will treat them at our fully-equipped clinic.
Should your pet need overnight monitoring, we have the facilities available to arrange appropriate veterinary care.
Supplying medicines to your pets
The vast majority of medicines our patients need we provide at the point of care, either while visiting you or at the clinic. We also provide lots of repeat prescriptions for ongoing medications, flea and worm treatment, food and other items.
We deliver most of our medicines to our clients free of charge, although they can also be collected from our practice during normal office hours Monday to Friday and Saturday morning.
Please telephone your prescription requests. We normally need at least 24 hours to ensure items are in stock, put up your medicines and have them checked and arrange delivery or put them ready for collection.
In order to make our delivery service as efficient as possible we now only deliver to certain area on certain days. Please check here for our preferred delivery days and areas.
Bear in mind if you have missed our delivery days or need medication for your pet urgently you are welcome to collect them from the practice.
We are pleased to provide written prescriptions for clients who choose to source their medicines elsewhere. We do make a small charge for this service to cover the time it takes to prepare and check prescriptions. As above, we need 24 hours to prepare them and then they can be collected from the surgery, delivered, posted or faxed. Please note these documents cannot be emailed to you.
